1. Our Privacy Commitment

At Safe Home (operated by Didev IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd.), we recognize that community and home life are inherently private. We design every gate security workflow, payment gateway integration, and resident record with stringent privacy-first principles.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, encrypt, store, and safeguard personal information across our mobile applications (Android & iOS), web portals, and guard kiosks in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

We never sell, monetize, or rent personal resident or visitor data to third-party advertisers or marketing agencies.

2. Information We Collect

To enable seamless community security and management, we process the following categories of information:

  • Resident Profile Information: Resident name, mobile number, email address, flat/villa number, ownership/tenant status, vehicle numbers, and family member accounts approved by the primary resident.
  • Visitor & Gate Entry Data: Guest name, phone number, vehicle registration number, visiting flat number, entry/exit timestamp, check-in photo captured at the guard kiosk, and delivery company name (e.g., Swiggy, Amazon).
  • Financial & Billing Records: Maintenance invoice numbers, payment transaction IDs, dues breakdown, GST summaries, and payment receipt timestamps. Note: Sensitive card numbers and net banking passwords are never stored on our servers; they are processed securely by RBI-licensed payment gateways.
  • Facility & Staff Logs: Daily domestic staff entry logs, guard duty rosters, attendance punches, and clubhouse/amenity booking slots.
  • Device & Telemetry Data: App version, OS type, IP address, push notification tokens, and diagnostic crash logs to ensure high system reliability.

3. How We Use Your Data

Collected data is used strictly for legitimate operational purposes within your housing community:

  • Triggering real-time gate pass approval notifications to residents when guests or delivery agents arrive.
  • Automating monthly maintenance invoice generation and dispatching payment reminders.
  • Providing RWA management committees with verified audit logs for community safety investigations.
  • Enabling instant panic alarms and emergency alerts to gate guards and emergency contacts.
  • Managing ticket tracking for plumbing, electrical, or infrastructure complaints.

4. Enterprise Security & Encryption

We deploy military-grade safeguards to protect community data around the clock:

  • Encryption in Transit: All communications between client mobile apps, guard tablets, and our cloud backend are encrypted via TLS 1.3 with HTTPS enforcement.
  • Encryption at Rest: Database records, backups, and media snapshots are secured with AES-256 encryption.
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Society committee members, guards, and residents only access information strictly within their authorized permission tier.
  • Tier-4 Cloud Infrastructure: Hosted in SOC2 and ISO 27001 certified data centers with continuous monitoring and automated disaster recovery failovers.

5. Data Retention & Archival Policies

We retain data in accordance with society committee guidelines and statutory accounting rules:

  • Visitor Logs: Typically retained for a rolling period of 90 to 180 days (configurable per RWA policy) after which entry records and visitor photos are purged or anonymized.
  • Financial Invoices & Ledger Records: Retained for statutory periods mandated under Indian Companies and GST Acts (minimum 7 years).
  • Resident Account Data: Maintained for the duration of the resident's active tenure in the society and permanently deactivated upon tenant or owner offboarding.

6. User Rights & Data Control

Under the DPDP Act 2023, registered users hold the following rights regarding their personal data:

  • Right to Access: You can review your profile, vehicle records, invoice history, and visitor pass logs directly within the mobile app.
  • Right to Rectification: Request corrections to flat occupancy records or contact numbers through your society administrator.
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your resident account and personal data upon moving out of the community.
  • Notification Controls: Customize SMS, push notifications, and email preferences for non-critical alerts.

7. Cookies & Web Tracking

Our web portals use essential session cookies strictly to maintain secure user authentication and theme preferences (Dark/Light mode). We do not deploy invasive third-party tracking pixels or ad networks.
